Mainstream country fans, mark your calendars for May 2, when Austin will host the iHeartCountry Festival for the seventh straight year. The Erwin Center has just announced this year’s lineup, which features Dierks Bentley, Sam Hunt, Dustin Lynch, Lady Antebellum, Kelsea Ballerini, Kane Brown, Jon Pardi and Chase Rice.
Tickets, $75-$450, go on sale at noon Feb. 7 via the venue’s website. The four-hour concert also will be broadcast live on iHeartRadio stations, with a livestream at livexlive.com.
Sponsored by radio conglomerate iHeartMedia, the annual event launched at the Erwin Center in 2014 and has returned every year since. Nashville radio personality Bobby Bones, a former Austinite, will appear as well, along with Hot Country Knights, a 1990s cover band featuring Bentley.
iHeartMedia has been in the news this month after announcing a "new organizational structure" that resulted in layoffs at many affiliates, including Austin’s KASE and KVET stations, according to a Variety report.
