If you have a love of roots music, fond memories of summer camp and deep pockets, Campfire Gathering a new "elevated and luxurious summer camp-like experience for adults" set for March 16-18 in Dripping Springs might be an ideal Spring Break outing.
Local sensation Shakey Graves and Nashville standout Margo Price lead a music roster that includes hot new country act, Colter Wall and masked Canadian crooner, Orville Peck alongside indie rockers Deer Tick and Delta Spirit. Matthew Logan Vasquez, lead singer for the latter act will perform a solo set at the event.
The bill also includes Ray Wylie Hubbard, Paul Cauthen, White Denim, Robert Ellis, and Sir Woman, a new solo project from Wild Child’s Kelsey Wilson.
The event, which takes place at Camp Lucy, is similar in format to Revival, an event that took place at the same location last year.
A press release promises gourmet local cuisine and a "plethora of camp activities" like fishing, archery, hatchet throwing, horseback riding and wine tasting tours of the property’s vineyards. There will also be wellness activities like yoga and nature hikes.
Tickets to the high dollar affair start at $600, which includes music performances, on-site activities and "complimentary bites and beverages." Packages that include overnight lodging in "air-conditioned yurts, creek-side cabins, high-end motor-coaches and well-appointed luxury suites" start at $700. More information.
