If you’ve got a friend in need or just like homemade guacamole, this might be of interest: Popular Netflix reality show "Queer Eye" might be looking for its next subjects in Austin.
According to Spectrum News, some guests at Jonathan Van Ness’ ACL Live show last week received flyers soliciting nominations for the TV program. The flyers read: "Howdy Texas! Queer Eye is casting in Austin, Texas! Accepting nominations in Austin & Central Texas. To nominate someone you know, email: firstname.lastname@example.org with nominee name, photos & story."
That email address has been used for past "Queer Eye" casting calls. Sightings of the flyers have since popped up elsewhere around Austin, including on Reddit.
Each episode on "Queer Eye," the show’s "Fab Five" — grooming expert Van Ness, fashion stylist Tan France, foodie Antoni Porowski, home renovator and decorator Bobby Berk and self-help czar Karamo Brown — take a new person under their wings and teach them tips to improve their lives. It usually involves crying.
The fifth season of the show will start streaming on Netflix next year; according to Cosmopolitan, it will take the Fab Five to Philadelphia.
