Brittany Howard, who delivered a stunning set in her first solo performance at Austin City Limits Festival earlier this year, is heading out on the road in Spring of 2020. Her tour hits Austin on March 27, when the Alabama Shakes frontwoman will play Stubb’s BBQ.

After catching her performance weekend one of ACL Fest, Austin360’s Peter Blackstock, who chatted with Howard about her debut solo album "Jaime" before the festival, described the new material as "absolutely made for live performance."

"From the deeply soulful grooves of ’He Loves Me’ (which opened the show) to the Motown-ish groove of several tracks — underscored by a cover of the Jackie Wilson hit ’(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher’ — to the red-hot emotion of the personal-sociopolitical tale ’Goat Head,’ Howard stayed fully immersed in the moment from start to finish," he wrote.
