Alamo Drafthouse’s Rolling Roadshow is presenting the man vs megalodon movie “The Meg on the shores of Lake Travis at Volente Beach Resort Aug. 5. (Sadly, this movie is not, as rumored, about an enormous Meg White who eats a regular sized Jack White.)
“‘The Meg’ on the Water” attendees will float on inflatable rafts while watching Jason Statham fight a giant sharkosaurus.
Tickets to event include all rides and hang-out spots at Volente Beach, including the Lazy Lagoon, The Sidewinder, volleyball, and a beachside bar and grill.
Doors are at 6 p.m., The movie starts after sunset, around 8:21 p.m. Admission is $42 per person. Food will be served from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Once can purchase an optional pre-sale Meal Ticket at check out (vegetarian options will be available). Meal Tickets will be received onsite.
There will be multiple outdoor bars throughout the venue, including permanent bars set up at the waterpark, and pop up bars built on the beach for these screenings.
No unaccompanied minors under 17. All children 12 and under are required to wear a life jacket while in the water. Ages 6 and under are not allowed in water or at water park.
All attendees can enter the waterpark as early as 11:00 AM and spend the entire day for an additional $10.00. Available for purchase at the Volente Beach Resort gate.
There will be no beach view access, you will have to be in the water to view the screen.
Parking is available on site, and you can pre-purchase a parking pass for your vehicle when you get your tickets. Parking will be $5 per car in advance, or $7 on site.
Don’t bring in your own tubes or chairs. Event will occur rain or shine. All ticket sales are final; no refunds will be given within 7 days of the scheduled event.
