Tuesday: Ume at Waterloo Records. Four years after their last album, “Monuments,” dropped, Austin’s hard rock outfit is back with a new collection, “Other Nature.” The band slowed down in 2015 after the couple at the core, Lauren and Eric Larsen, gave birth to a baby girl. For a period of time, the future of the group was up in the air, but Lauren Larson felt driven to write the deeply personal songs on the album while the baby slept. “I needed to recover and accept myself, let go of fear and let love in and these songs were the journey,” she says. Ume heads out on tour with the Sword later this month. Free. 5 p.m. 600 N. Lamar Blvd. waterloorecords.com. — D.S.S.

Wednesday: Blues on the Green with Wild Child, Los Coast at Zilker Park. “We really wouldn’t exist without this city,” Wild Child’s lead singer Kelsey Wilson said during an “Austin City Limits” taping last month. Austin shares the effusive love for the Central Texas crew who got their start playing ukulele-heavy shows at tiny Austin clubs like Holy Mountain before their 2013 album, “The Runaround” made them a slow burn sensation on the collegiate folk rock circuit. Over the years, their sound has evolved. These days, they indulge in rich instrumentation to create lush pop songs. Yet they maintain the emotional sincerity that resonates with so many fans. Staff writer Omar Gallaga reported the band’s “giddy energy — not always captured on the studio versions of its songs — crackled,” at the “ACL” taping. We expect the sparks will also fly in Zilker Park. Free, parking pass $15 + service fees. Music at 8 p.m. 2115 Lou Neff Road. kgsr.com — D.S.S.
