Ranking Pixar films has become a cottage industry these days, with media outlets and movie fans alike re-calibrating their rankings every time a new film comes out.

This week, upon the release of "The Incredibles 2," CableTV.com put together a list of each state’s favorite Pixar film.

While the Austin 360 staff previously found "Finding Nemo" to be the peak of Pixar (although that ranking was compiled in 2017, when "Finding Dory" came out; "Coco" might give it a run for its money in a new ranking), CableTV.com found that Texans love a good scare.

That's right, Boo, Mike Wazowski and James P. "Sully" Sullivan walked through those Monstropolis doors and into the hearts of Texans, according to the study. CableTV.com used Google Trends data to see which Pixar film each state searched for the most.

Other states that picked "Monsters, Inc." and its prequel, "Monsters University," include Arizona, Nevada, Nebraska, South Dakota, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi.
