Few movies depict author Brené Brown's concept of "daring greatly" more than the 2014 movie "Wild," starring Reese Witherspoon.

The Hollywood star and the bestselling Houston-based writer are among the keynote speakers announced for this year's Texas Conference for Women, scheduled for Nov. 9.

Brené Brown is a frequent visitor of Austin and previously delivered a keynote speech at South by Southwest.

Other featured speakers include Shawn Achor, author of "The Happiness Advantage,"and comedian and activist Luvvie Ajayi, author of "I'm Judging You: The Do-Better Manual."

Registration opens May 9 for the daylong Austin Convention Center event, which usually sells out with about 7,500 attendees.
