When you think of crêpes, you probably think of France, but one UT alumnus says they’re all the rage in Japan and plans to open a Japanese-style crêpe cafe near Lake Travis in the spring, Austin Eater reports.

Dat Lam immigrated to Austin from Vietnam when he was 10, and discovered the portable cone-shaped crêpes in Tokyo while visiting. The treats often come filled with strawberries and whipped cream, Lam told Austin Eater. The cafe will be located at 6550 Comanche Trail.

Japanese crêpes are more on the sweet side and can be filled with banana and chocolate or ice cream.

Lam teased a creme brulee crêpe and a red velvet crêpe on Instagram:

Finally got to take bae out to her favorite spot in town. She loves the vibe here. Oh... and her name is Crêpe de la Crème Brûlée
