Sky Cinemas, the new 14-screen cinema from the folks who brought you Violet Crown, opens Jan. 26 at 13201 U.S. 290.
The plan is for a mix of new release blockbusters, popular indies, some repertory stuff and more.
Featured food will include fresh beef hamburgers, hand-cut fries, pizzas, salads and an assortment of vegetarian options along with traditional theater concessions, self-serve soft drinks with free refills and non-GMO popcorn with real butter, 30 craft beers, wine, cider and an outdoor, pet-friendly beer garden.

All seats are reserved for every screening, and online ticketing will have a print-at-home option. There are also automated ticket kiosks in the theater.
In addition to 11 larger auditoriums, Sky Cinemas features three 30-seat screening rooms that can be rented for private events and birthday parties.

Look for the theater to become a participant in the community -- teaming with local organizations for screenings, special events, that sort of thing.
The movies playing opening week at Sky Cinemas:
“Maze Runner: The Death Cure”
“Star Wars: The Last Jedi”
“Blade Runner 2049”
“Call Me By Your Name”
“The Shape of Water”

“The Florida Project”
I have to hand it to them: That is a mighty wide-ranging lineup.
