On the whole, Tuesday wasn’t shaping up to be a particularly busy night on the Austin club scene, which makes the evening’s weather issues won’t affect too many shows. Here’s a quick look at some prominent venues and whether they plan to be open or closed, with ice reported on some area roadways and temperatures heading toward the teens tonight.

Antone’s: Louisiana bluesman Lazy Lester is in the midst of a four-night run at the downtown club but will be taking Tuesday night off because of the weather. He performed last night and is still scheduled to play on Wednesday and Thursday. Contact the venue if you had tickets to Tuesday’s show. Antone’s will still be open later tonight, for a free show at 10 p.m. with Lindsay Beaver & the 24th Street Wailers.
Continental Club/Continental Gallery/C-Boy’s: All three South Congress venues operated by owner Steve Wertheimer are closed tonight “to ensure the safety of our musicians, patrons, and staff,” publicist Dianne Scott reported via Facebook on Tuesday afternoon.
Elephant Room: The downstairs jazz haunt on Congress Avenue downtown plans to be open. Singer Sarah Sharp reported on Facebook that she and her band would play their 6 p.m. happy hour show. The Bruce Saunders Quartet is scheduled for the 9:30 p.m. slot.
Red River District: The website of the Mohawk reports that the venue is “closed due to inclement weather.” A touring show at Beerland with New York anti-folk act Jeffrey Lewis & Los Bolts plus Austin duo Folk Uke is still on, judging from a post about the show around noon on the venue’s website. Popular clubs Barracuda and Empire apparently didn’t have shows booked for Tuesday night.
East Sixth Street: “Ladies Night Vol. 2: Tributes to ’90s Alt-Rock” at the Volstead has been postponed to Feb. 6, according to the show’s Facebook event page. A show at Hotel Vegas with Residual Kid, Mean Jolene, Dirty Few and Lochness Mobsters appears to still be on, with no cancellation notices on either the show’s Facebook event page or the venue’s website.
El Mercado Backstage: Ernie Durawa’s weekly gig, which was to feature special guest Los Jazz Vatos, has been called off. Durawa posted on his Facebook page that the band will play a makeup date at the South Austin Mexican restaurant on March 27.
