Have you ever thought,"Gee, I wonder what 1990s country star Neal McCoy thinks of NFL players kneeling during the national anthem?" Well folks, wonder no more, because the Texas-born-and-bred singer has now released a song detailing his thoughts on that very divisive matter.

"Take A Knee, My Ass (I Won’t Take a Knee)"  debuted via Facebook Live at a show in Branson, MO on Nov. 8.

Backed by only a plaintive piano key opening and a thin bass, McCoy’s voice takes center stage for the song’s bridge: "When I see somebody on TV take their stand on bended knee, whether it be on Astroturf or grass, I think of those whose freedom was not free, and I say: ‘Take a knee...my ass!’"
