"The Afterlife of Artifacts" at Davis Gallery. This exhibit explores five Austin artists’ power to reanimate forgotten objects into extraordinary works of art. The featured artists, Barbara Irwin, John Sager, Larry Seaman, Steve Brudniak and Steve Wiman, test the limits of what’s conventionally defined as fine art by incorporating everything from the high voltage parts of old transmitters to beautifully worn metal scraps found on the streets of Austin. These reclaimed objects help the artists investigate questions of life, time, decay and rebirth. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 25. 837 W. Twelfth St. davisgalleryaustin.com.
