Both Batman and Superman have their own roller coasters at Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio — and now, Wonder Woman, following the massive success of her eponymous superhero film earlier this summer, will also have one.
Called the Golden Lasso Coaster, the ride is expected to open in early March after construction on it started last month, according to the San Antonio Express-News.
Expect the ride to be just as breathtakingly tough as the Amazon woman from which it gets its name. The coaster will have “a 90-degree drop, two airtime hills, one 180-degree stall, a zero-g roll and overbanked turns,” according to the Express-News. It’s taking the place of the Power Surge boat ride that was retired in July.
The “Wonder Woman” film starring Gal Gadot and Chris Pine has been a hit for both critics and audiences, pulling in an impressive almost $790 million from the global box office, according to the site Box Office Mojo. A sequel is already in the works with a December 2019 release.
