Head over to Rotten Tomatoes. You might notice the reviews for “Transformers: The Last Knight” are in.
And they are BRUTAL.
Currently clocking a jaw-dropping 15% on RT, “The Last Knight” is very easily one of the year’s most critically maligned films, and the reviews for it are hilariously nuts.
From the Village Voice: “After all is a Transformers movie, so soon we’re faced with

From Rolling Stone’s ZERO-star review: “[Body Text]-->My dream is that this whole tapped-out robo series will transform into a turd and audiences will have the good sense to flush it.”
From the Observer: “
Transformers: The Last Knight is a sloppy, stupid, and— evidenced by other casual misappropriations of history at its darkest (Frederick Douglass was also part of this Transformers secret society but apparently couldn’t convince them to do anything about slavery)— quite possibly evil movie.”
It goes on like this for some time --all of the reviews do. It sounds like the franchise is simply post-narrative, post-thoughtfulness, post-meaning, post-common sense at this point.
In short, the perfect 2017 movie.
