Hall & Oates will play the HEB Center in Cedar Park on September 22. Suzanne Cordeiro for American-Statesman

Our town is on their list: 1970s-80s pop hitmakers Daryl Hall & John Oates have added five dates to their 2017 tour itinerary, and one of them is in the Austin area. They’ll play the HEB Center at Cedar Park on September 22. Tickets, $61.60-$141.50, go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday via the venue’s website.

The 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees have a habit of bringing along up-and-coming soul-styled acts on the road with them, and this tour is no exception. Alabama’s St. Paul & the Broken Bones, who wowed crowds at the Austin City Limits Music Festival last fall, will open the show.

Last year, when the duo played the Austin360 Amphitheater, the support acts were Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings and Trombone Shorty. It was one of Jones’ last shows before she died of pancreatic cancer in November 2016.
