Kick off summer with bubbles. Lots and lots of bubbles.

The Long Center’s annual celebration of open play returns June 3 for families to spend rambunctious hours on the City Terrace and expansive lawn. The event will have live music, trailer food including snow cones from Kona Ice and waffles from Mykonos Waffles — and, of course, plenty of bubbles. The live music will come from Hey Lolly Band, Biscuit Brothers, and the Saddle Sores (the side band of the White Ghost Shivers).

Bubblepalooza promises to have plenty of activities for the kids: face painting, toys from Toy Joy, foam pits, a giant graffiti wall and more. The free fun starts at 9 a.m. at 701 W. Riverside Dr. For more information, including what to do about parking, visit
