Local pediatrician Dr. Ari Brown got some national attention recently on NBC’s "Today" show.
Brown, author of the "Expecting 411," "Baby 411" and "Toddler 411" books, talked about how parenting advice has changed over the years.
"The most important step parents can take is to select a pediatrician who they trust and who keeps up with the latest medical literature," she told me. "Parents shouldn’t rely on family and friends or books written more than two years ago to get accurate information – hence the reason why I have to keep revising ‘Baby 411’ every couple of years."
