A heaping helping of Christmas music made Majic 95.5 Austin’s top-rated radio station during the holidays.

In fact, newly released numbers from Nielsen show the station nearly doubled its ratings from the previous month.

As it has in past years, Majic flipped to round-the-clock holiday hits just before Thanksgiving and stuck with them till Christmas day.

Spirit 105.9 did the exact same thing and it, too, climbed the ratings chart.

A little further down the list, listenership for Bob Cole’s KOKE-FM continues to grow, putting it in the Top 15 for the very first time.

But at Cole’s other station, 104.9 the Horn, it’s still too soon to tell whether recent changes are helping or hurting. What was once round-the-clock sports talk is now a mix of sports and music. Classic hits, to be exact.
