Time Warner Cable and CBS announced they’d reached a new deal this afternoon that will restore Showtime and TMC as soon as this evening.

The agreement means Time Warner Cable customers will see missing networks return to their cable lineups within the next 24 hours, according to a spokeswoman.

The sticking point, according to published reports, had been the amount of money being requested by CBS for its owned-and-operated stations in cities such as Dallas, Los Angeles and New York.

Austin’s CBS affiliate, KEYE-TV, is owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group and had been immune to the prolonged contract negotiations.

Showtime, home of ‘Dexter’ and other highly rated hits, had however been a part of the month-long battle.

No more, though.
