KEYE’s morning news team will soon have to wake up even earlier.
The CBS affiliate plans to expand its earlybird newscast by 30 minutes, moving the start time to 4:30 a.m.
The newscast, which features news anchors Ericka Miller and Hunter Ellis, traffic anchor Erica Brennes and meteorologist Allison Miller, previously began at 5 a.m.
The change takes effect on June 30.
KEYE will be the fourth Austin TV station to start its morning news at 4:30 a.m. KTBC was first, followed by KVUE and then KXAN.
