Austin’s Cap T Theatre once again stages a bitingly funny yet violent and absurd comedy at Hyde Park Theatre.
Opening May 30, "The Lieutenant of Inishmore" by Irish playwright Martin McDonagh — author of "The Pillowman," which Austin audiences couldn’t get enough of in 2007 — explores the aftermath of what happens when somone makes the horrible error of killing the beloved cat of a violent North Irish terrorist.
Cap T’s artistic director Mark Pickell says "Inishmore" features "a lot of bullets and blood and a body count that rivals Hamlet."
Favorite actors Joey Hood, Jason Liebrecht, Robert Fisher and Lowell Bartholomee are featured.
"The Lieutenant of Inishmore" runs May 30-June 22 at Hyde Park Theatre.
