The city of Austin is once again putting out a call for entries for its annual "People’s Gallery" exhibit.
Work by regional artists is selected each year for installation in Austin’s City Hall where it stays on exhibit for a year. And with each exhibit, visitors are invited to vote for their favorite in "The People’s Choice" with the selection then purchased for the city hall’s permanent collection.
The city is looking for two- and three-dimensional artworks in any medium by Austin-area visual artists, galleries, visual arts organizations for the 2014 People’s Gallery Exhibition, running February 28, 2014 - January 9, 2015.
This year’s jurors are artist and curator Michael Anthony García, art historian and co-owner of Tiny Park Gallery Thao Votang, as well as artist and illustrator Terrence Moline.
All artists must submit their application online at PublicArtist.orgbetween Aug. 9 and Oct. 18, 2013.

There will be two artists information meetings to explain the procedures:
5:30 p.m. Aug. 16 at the African American Cultural Heritage Facility, 912 E. 11th St
5:30 p.m. Aug. 23 at City Hall, 301 W. Second St.
