Think your friends can out jump, swing, squat, push, lunge, toss and dash the rest?

Round them up for the Gritness 100 Fitness Challenge on Feb. 23.

The creators of a new fitness app called Gritness that helps athletes find, organize and create fitness activities, are staging the challenge, which starts and ends with a 100-yard team sprint. In between each team must complete 100 reps of kettle bell swings, air squats, pushups, jumping jacks, burpees, medicine ball tosses and more.

"We’ve incorporated a variety of challenges that push your core, upper and lower body to the max," said course designer Jess Martin of Stronghorn Fitness. "Everyone who comes out will have a good time, get an amazing workout and likely need a massage after."

The event is designed for elite and amateur athletes. Cash prizes totaling $2,000 will be awarded to the fastest elite male and female teams. Top finishers in the open male, open female and open coed divisions will also get prizes.

The throwdown begins at 10 a.m. at Burr Field in East Austin. Expect beer in the Hops and Grain Beer Garden and tasty samples from My Fit Foods and the Corner Bakery Cafe.
