Liberty Tavern downtown has added two kegged cocktails to their beverage lineup.
I wrote about the practice of putting cocktails (and various other beverages on tap) earlier this year. Kegging cocktails saves the bar staff time, and ensures a quality product is served every time, among other perks.
Liberty Tavern first experimented with cocktails on tap last year when they launched their first kegged Moscow Mule. Now you can find a French 75 made with Treaty Oak’s Waterloo Gin, and a Yellow Jacket cocktail featuring reposado tequila, yellow Chartreuse, and St. Germain.
Cocktails are being sold for $7 during regular service and $5 during reverse happy hour from 9 to 11 p.m.
Also keep your eyes on Firehouse Lounge downtown. Bar Manager Rob Millican says they are working on getting a cocktail on tap in the near future. As soon as all the necessary parts arrive, they will batch up a Gran Negroni, featuring Aviation gin, Gran Classico and Doulin Rouge.
