Team Statesman captain and lickety-split runner Mercedes Orten just dropped off my race number for tonight’s Zilker Relays.

Are you in?

Teams of four will race a cumulative 10 miles around Zilker Park, handing off a Nuun canister with a timing chip taped inside it. The kids’ relay starts at 6 p.m.; adults start at 6:30.

Afterward, we’ll be enjoying a trifecta of awesomeness: Music, beer and food from Taco Deli.

Parking is limited, so ride a bike or carpool if you can. For more details, go to www.zilkerrelays.com.

And look for photos on the Fit City page on Facebook when the race is over.
