A quickfire roundup of highlights from the past two days of the Austin Food & Wine Festival:

Reshma Kirpalani interviewed Tim Love talked about his grilling demo that took place yesterday and today in Butler Park. The "rock concert" of a class is one of the biggest attractions of the festival. Three-hundred attendees in each session grill (and hoot and holler) with Fort Worth’s Love, who is one of the founders of the festival.

Ari Auber enjoyed the Tour de Femme panel with LaV’s Vilma Mazaite.

Matthew Odam breaks down the dishes at Friday night’s Taste of Texas event downtown.

On Saturday night, Richard Blais beat out Tyson Cole, Ming Tsai and Rick Bayless to win the Rock Your Taco competition. (We had an A-list photographer there.)

One of the most coolest places at the festival was the Kim Crawford ping pong yard, where you could sip on a wine slushie from New York’s Kelvin food truck while showing off your ace table tennis skills.

The festival continues through this afternoon at Butler Park with more cooking demos, seminars and tastings.
