We’ve told you before that Texas’ first Shake Shack and Emmett and Lisa Fox’s Cantine will both open at the Lamar Union mixed-use development on South Lamar Boulevard and Treadwell Street.

Now comes word from the Statesman’s Gary Dinges that more cafes and restaurants have jumped on board for the development that is home to the Alamo Drafthouse and Highball.

Longtime Austin chef David Garrido will open a concept at Lamar Union, as will the team behind J Black’s. Other food-and-drink operations to set up shop will include Daily Juice, Caffe Medici coffeehouse, VOX Table and River City Market. Dinges reports that most of the shops and apartments are expected to come online by late in the year.
