According to the Louder Than Hell blog, Austin guitarist Bobby Landgraf is replacing Kirk Windtein in the popular New Orleans-based metal band Down, led by former Pantera frontman Phil Anselmo. Previously billed "Bobby Rock," Landgraf is also a member of Austin boogie blooze band Honky, which just got off tour with the Melvins. A former Continental Club soundman, Landgraf had previously worked on the crew for Down, but he can shred with the best of them.

Landgraf’s first show with Down will be in Austin at Anselmo’s Housecore Horror Festival Oct. 24-27.
