Austin rock band the Bright Light Social Hour is sometimes remembered for giving out homemade chocolate chip cookies at shows or cooking up a tribute overnight to a filibustering politician. The band plays at 7 p.m. Saturday and Oct. 12 on the Austin Ventures stage.
