Tonight at Hotel Vegas the Austin music community comes together to raise funds for victims of the devastating typhoon that ravaged the Phillipines a couple weeks back. The lineup of bands is anchored by the excellent local garage rock outfit The Bad Lovers. It also features a whole host of other club regulars including Borrisokane, 100 Visions and The Avocados. Bluegrass band Sour Bridges, still reeling from the loss of thousands of dollars of equipment last weekend, will also participate
In addition to all the great music, your $5 cover buys you access to a fantastic silent auction and raffle with everything from SXSW 2014 wristbands to gift certificates to Austin’s top restaurants like Uchi, Qui and Hillside Farmacy to Tarot Readings and Acupuncture up for grabs. The show starts at 8 p.m. and the first 100 attendees to buy 4 raffle tickets will receive a free meal from Filipino food trailer Be More Pacific.
