Last week, we here at Team 360 indulged our inner cynic with a "Sounds Like a Love Song (But Isn’t)" playlist. This week, the season of schmaltz is upon us. Members of our staff submitted some of their favorite love songs to create a mix of romance, infatuation and devotion. There’s a whole lotta love in this super-sized Spotify playlist. Before anyone asks: Of course Al Green and Etta James made the cut.

There’s a little something for everyone here. Music writer Deborah Sengupta Stith gets us started with a hip-hop fix via rapper Method Man and R&B queen Mary J. Blige, and she keeps the soul coming with the showstopping sex appeal of Janelle Monae’s duet with a smooth-talking Miguel on "Primetime." And fear not: Hip-hop’s first couple, Beyonce and Jay-Z, make an appearance on pop culture writer Joe Gross’ list with the modern classic "Crazy In Love."

If it’s country crooning you’re in the market for, music writer Peter Blackstock offers the Willie Nelson-Kimmie Rhodes duet of "Picture In a Frame," and social media editor Jackie Stone’s Drive-By Truckers and Ray LaMontagne tracks will hit a sweet, down-home spot, too. Bluegrass darling (and Central Texas native) Sarah Jarosz also plucks the strings of the mandolin and of the heart on her Grammy-nominated "Build Me Up From Bones" — this writer’s favorite love song from 2013.

More in the mood for a few romantic rock classics? Look no further than Gross’ Pavement, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and U2 cuts. There’s also a Say Anything track in the mix, for the more pop-punk-inclined among us, as well as obligatory indie perennials from Death Cab For Cutie and Iron & Wine.

Feeling a skip in your step? Nothing will go over better on a date than a little dancing to selections from Daft Punk, Stars and Madonna. When things wind down, bring your Valentine’s Day to a close with a classic pick from content producer Melissa Martinez: Buddy Holly’s "True Love Ways."
