KUTX 98.9 will host four early-morning live broadcasts at the Four Seasons Hotel from Wednesday, March 12-Saturday March 15 during the SXSW music festival. The event, a benefit for Seton Shivers Cancer Center, is a long-standing SXSW tradition for Austin’s National Public Radio affiliate. The broadcasts run from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturdays and each band plays a 25 minute set. A $10 cover buys you a breakfast taco, a granola bar and bottomless coffee and parking is available at the Four Seasons garage at a discounted rate of $5/car.

Standouts on the lineup include Malian desert blues act Tinariwen whose excellent new album "Emmaar" has been received with high acclaim, soul powerhouse Lee Fields and the Expressions and Lucius, an indie pop band from Brooklyn that has been receiving heavy airplay on the station.
