The National and Warpaint at ACL Live. Check out our interview with Aaron Dessner of The National for more on one of indie rock’s hottest acts of the past few years. If you’re going, arrive early enough to see opening act Warpaint, a quartet of women from Los Angeles whose self-titled Rough Trade Records album entices with its dark, dreamlike mood sketches. They’ll also be at Waterloo Records for a lunchtime in-store at 1 p.m. Tuesday, with free pizza from Austin Pizza while it lasts. The ACL Live shows are sold out on Monday and Tuesday, but Wednesday tickets are still available. $40-$50. 8 p.m. 310 Willie Nelson Blvd. acl-live.com. — P.B.
