Doug Guller, owner of ATX Brands announced the purchase of Schroeder Hall located in Goliad, TX today. The 13,500-square-foot dance hall, which was founded in 1890, has hosted the likes of Willie Nelson and Robert Earl Keen while maintaining a regular calendar of smaller Texas country acts.
"Schroeder Hall has been around for over 100 years, and I’m honored to be the owner of such a legendary dance hall in Texas," said Guller via press release this afternoon. "We’re extremely excited about this space, and we can’t wait to show Texas what we have in store for the property."
In addition to the "breastaurant" chain Bikini’s and the breast-centric town Bikini’s, Texas, Guller, who lives in Austin, owns the Parish, the Parish Underground and the Historic Scoot Inn. The booking for Schroeder Hall will be handled by Stephen Dean, the club’s new general manager. Dean is a co-founder of Texas Dance Hall Preservations, a nonprofit that helps to promote and preserve historic Texas dance halls, and author of the book "Historic Dance Halls of East Central Texas."
