Gambino dropped the first single for his upcoming album “Awaken, My Love!” on Thursday. The Youtube version of “Me and Your Mama” has been played over 1.4 million times.



Gambino deleted his social media presence in December 2014, replacing his cover photo and profile photo on Twitter and Instagram with black. People theorized this was done in protest after the deaths of Eric Garner and Michael Brown, or as a nod to the anniversary of his album “because the internet.”

Now, all of his social media accounts have transformed the same way, with the artwork from his upcoming album “Awaken, My Love!” put in the place of his profile photo. His verified Facebook page has also been cleared out, with only two posts: an updated profile picture and this:
