Books and bikes go together like, well, paper and pen.
So do books and kayaks, books and yoga, and books and running.
Kudos to the Texas Book Festival, which unfolds this weekend in downtown Austin, for providing cool ways for readers to interact with their favorite authors.
At this year’s festival, the public can join featured authors for a downtown bike ride, a yoga session on the Capitol lawn, a paddle on Lady Bird Lake or a run on the Butler Hike and Bike Trail.
All the activities are free.
To sign up for the sessions, go to http://www.texasbookfestival.org/yoga-kayak-bike-run-with-the-authors/. For more information call the book festival office at 512-477-4055.
