Betty Soo sings Joni Mitchell songs at Tellers. RODOLFO GONZALEZ / AMERICAN-STATESMAN

Songs of Joni Mitchell with Will Taylor’s Strings Attached, Betty Soo and Karen Mal at Tellers. The new downtown venue Tellers looks much different than it did during its circa-1990 heyday as Chicago House, but the stylish bar’s upstairs room is a welcome haven on Wednesdays as violinis Taylor and his band — guitarist Dave Scher, bassist Chris Maresh and drummer Brad Evilsizer — play jazz music with a different theme and special guests each week. This one’s a Joni Mitchell show featuring Karen Mal, who took part in Taylor’s tribute to the Beatles’ “Rubber Soul” earlier this month, and Betty Soo, one of Austin’s most accomplished acoustic performers. Free (donations accepted). 6 p.m. 607 Trinity St. tellersaustin.com.
