UT wants you to reach for the stars. Every Wednesday throughout the summer, the astronomy department is opening up the roof of Robert Lee Moore Hall to the public for free star parties.

Once you reach the building, take the elevators to the 17th floor and follow the signs to the stairs up to the telescope. It’s been able to provide striking views of outer space, including the moon and planets like Jupiter and Saturn.

Details: 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, through Aug. 12. Free. Roof of Robert Lee Moore Hall at Dean Keeton and Speedway. outreach.as.utexas.edu/public/parties.html.
