A special theatrical showing of the two-part eighth season finale of “Doctor Who,” featuring Peter Capaldi, will be showcased in 3D.

The longest running sci-fi television series, “Doctor Who,” is returning to the big screen for two nights only. “Doctor Who: Dark Water/Death in Heaven,” the show’s two-part eighth season finale, will play in 3D at four local theaters, including Cinemark Southpark Meadows and Cinemark Hill Country Galleria.

In addition to a showing of the finale, viewers will also get to watch a special prequel scene to the first episode of season nine and an interview with “Doctor Who” stars Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman that will be hosted by actor Wil Wheaton.
