Sixteen Deluxe at Empire. Two decades after a trio of “S” bands rose from the local indie scene, they’re all back on the radar. Spoon has remained an anchor all along, but Sincola reunited a few weeks ago at a benefit for bassist Chepo Pena. And Sixteen Deluxe, which has been playing occasionally as of late, has issued its first new music in 15 years with a 7-inch single. The band celebrates its release with Casual Strangers and a “special guest headliner.” $5-$8. 9 p.m. 606 E. Seventh St. empireatx.com.
