Although Austin has a variety of great local kombucha producers, it’s also easy to make your own — or so say the authors of “The Big Book of Kombucha,” Hannah Crum and Alex LaGory. As the proprietors of Kombucha Kamp, they’ll be at BookPeople with the kombucha guide. It shows you how to make kombucha from start to finish, with illustrated step-by-step instructions and recipes for 286 different flavor combinations. Samples from Buddha’s Brew will be available.
