“Julius Caesar” is the City Theatre’s newest production, performing through March 15.

Just in time for the Ides of March, the City Theatre is taking on “Julius Caesar” as its next production (the play closes on that day). William Shakespeare’s timeless political thriller portrays the life and death struggle for power as honor, envy and patriotism collide.

Caesar’s political genius, military prowess and overwhelming appeal make him the most powerful leader the Republic has ever known. But his growing ambitions threaten his rivals, and Caesar’s disregard to prophetic warnings leads to his tragic fall, setting in motion one of the most famous murder conspiracies in history.
