Luke Wade performs at Stubb’s on Thursday.

Despite coming up short on NBC’s 7th season of The Voice, native Texan Luke Wade has seen his career headed in a positive direction. Wasting no time after being eliminated, the former Team Pharrell member kicked off a U.S. tour early in January. On Thursday, Stubb’s BBQ will be filled with Wade’s rich, soulful voice that won over Grammy-winning Pharrell.

Actually, Wade’s audition impressed all the superstar Voice coaches last season, earning him a coveted four-chair turn. He quickly became a front-runner in the competition, breezing through the battle and knockout rounds. Wade was eventually eliminated at the Top 5 mark.

The Dublin, Texas-born singer-songwriter will perform some of his original music along with arrangements created by Pharrell during The Voice.

Johnny Gray, a season 5 Voice contestant from Texas, serves as the opening act. Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door. Doors open at 8 p.m.
