Second Sunday Sock Hop finale at White Horse. For more than nine years, the Sock Hop DJs have been kicking off the second week of each month with a dance-floor bumping mix of doo wop, Motown soul and rock ’n’ roll. For the last three years, home base for the party has been the White Horse, but the SSSH is closing up shop with plans to relaunch as a Saturday monthly at Barracuda, the rebooted Red 7 space. Going forward, regular Sunday residents the Soul Supporters and explosively funky outfit Tomar & the FCs, who open this week’s show, will hold down the fort. $5. 500 Comal St. whitehorseaustin.com. — D.S.S.
