“Star Wars Battlefront.” Jaws dropped for the first trailers for this game, a “Battlefield” / “Call of Duty”-style action shooter set in the “Star Wars” universe. Battles with up to 40 players at a time take place amid famous characters and gigantic vehicles (Millennium Falcon, AT-ATs among them). The game includes an offline, split-screen co-op mode in addition to all the online battles. Rated T for Teen. $60-$70 in Standard and Deluxe Editions for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC.

“Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash.” (Available Friday) The “Mario Tennis” series comes to the Nintendo Wii U with Mega Mushroom power-ups and the familiar roster of Nintendo characters. Rated E for Everyone. $50 for Nintendo Wii U.
