“Austin City Limits” has announced upcoming tapings for indie rock band Sleater-Kinney on April 15, jazz singer Cassandra Wilson on April 28 and Austin rising star Shakey Graves on May 6.

Details on obtaining tickets will be posted on the ACL-TV website about a week before each event. The show is currently taking email requests at that link for the Monday, March 16, taping by indie rockers TV on the Radio. Other upcoming tapings include country insurgent Sturgill Simpson on April 1 and indie rock band the War on Drugs on April 6.

Shakey Graves also was announced this week as the headliner of the May 2 “Derby in the City” event in the Austin American-Statesman’s West Parking Lot, adjacent to the Congress Avenue bridge. Also performing at the event, which runs from 1 to 10 p.m. and is centered around a live screening of the Kentucky Derby, will be Leftover Salmon, Whiskey Shivers, Possessed by Paul James and Sour Bridges. Tickets, $25 general admission and $100 VIP, are available via the event’s website.
