Yo La Tengo acoustic at Hogg Auditorium. As one of indie rock’s most enduring bands, Yo La Tengo has persevered since the 1980s in large part by repeatedly seeking out new sonic territory. Which is why last year’s “Stuff Like That There” came as a surprise, but an altogether pleasant one. Essentially, co-leaders Ira Kaplan and Georgia Hubley have revisited the concept of their 1990 classic “Fakebook,” recording low-key acoustic versions of mostly obscure covers alongside a few originals. “Fakebook” was a beautiful little revelation a quarter-century ago, and “Stuff Like That There” carries a similar magic. They’re bringing that spirit on tour with the aid of guitarist Dave Schramm, who played on both records. $35. 8 p.m. 2300 Whitis Ave. cactuscafe.org. — P.B.
