Jay Janner/AMERICAN-STATESMAN

Steve Wynn and Jon Langford at Continental Club. From his L.A. days fronting the Dream Syndicate to his participation in collaborations such as Danny & Dusty, Gutterball and the Baseball Project, Steve Wynn has been one of the true keepers of the flame for American rock ’n’ roll since the early 1980s. His partner on this bill is Welshman Jon Langford, whose punk roots stretch back to the iconic Mekons before he moved to Chicago and became an insurgent-country prime mover. (Langford and Wynn also will be at Yard Dog on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. to help celebrate the folk art gallery’s 20th anniversary.) $12. 10 p.m. 1315 S. Congress Ave. continentalclub.com.
