Texas Heritage Festival at Fair Market. As beer-sponsored events go, this one’s pretty cool: Lone Star paid for a diverse range of five solid-drawing Texas acts — Old 97’s, Black Angels, Grupo Fantasma, Dale Watson and Latasha Lee & the Black Ties — to team up for Saturday shows in August in the state’s four largest cities. Austin bats cleanup, with local acts A. Sinclair and Tele Novella added to this show. Admission details are unusual but also worthy: technically it’s free while there’s space available, but if you buy a $25 ticket for guaranteed admission, all the money goes to the Capital Area Food Bank of Texas. 2 p.m to 10 p.m. 1100 E. Fifth St. lonestarbeer.com/festival. — P.B.
